Dungeon Escape is a tribute to Dragon's LairSpace AceSuper Don-Quixote, and other laserdisc arcade games that I have fond childhood memories of. I started it in early 2003 as the game that I used to teach myself Flash, and periodically revisited it over the next 7 years, between other projects, until I'd finally reached my goal of 31 rooms (chosen because Dragon's Lair has 30 rooms) in 2010.

I realized that I'd totally missed the 10th anniversary of its release during Coronageddon last year, and Flash has been officially deprecated (RIP Flash), so I thought it would be cool to make executables of the game and put them up here.

It plays best with a mouse, although I realize that these days most people probably have touchpads.

The game's original webpage -- with a timeline of its development -- can be found here:

There isn't really much to say about it other than that it's pretty cool. Some of the animations look a bit odd, but all in all, I'd say it's a pretty good game, not to mention it's in flash, which is awesome. So yeah, good game.
